The Lilting House

Besides your comments and photo submissions, I have been receiving some really inspiring emails from ya'll. Melissa, from The Lilting House sent these encouraging words the other day,

Just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying Picture This, and how much I'm learning from it. You've got me looking through the lens in a new way, and I really appreciate it. I have always been quick  to write down the little funny or sweet things my kids do during the
day, but words are my medium and I've never thought of myself as much of a photographer. Your blog has me looking for the *visual* stories as well as the verbal ones, and I'm loving the results.

Then, first thing this morning I get this photo submission, right under the wire for June's Blur album. How delightful is this shot??  Perfect motion, fantastic composition (how perfect is it that he's running right off the page?), great expression, and and all around super image the screams summer fun. Tracey, thank you so much! What a treat! I really am loving finding the poem in the picture these days. And your blog came along at a perfect time--with our little Rilla just born in April, it's great to be photo-inspired from her very first day. :)
