OK, so the Movement picture thing was going to be a contest and then it wasn't and now, it is again! Why the heck not?? I got these nifty ClubMom water bottles and I'm dying to give them away!
After much deliberation, I have chosen two of my favorite shots from the Blur Album.
And the winners are....
(Above) This is Christie's daughter doing the obvious. Having a blast at high speed. The quality I love about this image is it's painterly-like quality. Yes, the whole darn thing is blurred like crazy. And it's perfect! Keep up the good work Christie. And girls, there are more where that came from. She's got a flickr collection to die for!Alright, I can't find the link (duh) but I swear, I'll find it (oh Christie...can I get the link to your "goods"???) and pass it along. Sorry to leave you in such suspense.
And the other winner today...
Then there's this wonderful little masterpiece by Mary. The perspective of the shot is so unique and interesting. And the slight motion that's evident is simply poetic.
So, thank you to you both and to the rest of you who so enthusiastically participated.
I've got a few ideas up my sleeve for July! The words/ideas of the month are Composition and Context. I'm going to let those swirl around your pretty heads and I promise to explain this week. Something new! Oh what fun!!

excellent choices! Christie's was my favorite too.

Wow! How neat! I'm so pleased you like my photos. I'm also thrilled you've come up with this blog, because I could really use some technique. I've always just taken and then tossed tons of photos to get the good ones. I don't know why I'd never thought before about trying out techniques on the fly. I took some with the flash and some without at the beach last week and the difference was remarkable!

Unfortunately, I won't be posting anything new anytime soon. The camera has decided to go kaput, and the repair shop is across town.
