...even if it is a few days late!
My intention was to post an image from my daughter's annual Ho'Ike (a fund-raising Luau for her Hula group) because the show was indeed a spectacle in the best possible way!
Here's a shot of my daughter teaching her dad how do "move it move it" if you know what I mean. It was hilarious! Notice he's looking at her hips trying to figure out how in the heck????
Can you get over that costume?? I had to make most of it! Along with the others she wears. A labor of love (and sometimes loathing) but when she gets out there and does her Polynesian thing it makes it all worthwhile. I do the same crazy thing for Halloween. It's just one of those mom things I do that I enjoy (kind of). Anyway, I just wanted to squeeze in at least one of these 'spectacular' shots for My Best Shot Monday.
Can't wait to see what you've got.

I love seeing her! I've been missing Hawaii so much recently! It reminds me of when my sister and I took lessons when we were little. We were the only toe heads in the group, and definitely a SPECTACLE! Here's mine: http://dailyrelish.squarespace.com/journal/2007/7/9/what-happened-after-the-maternity-shoot-and-at-least-i-spare.html
:0)
I think it kind of goes along with the whole spectacle theme as well. Have a good week everyone!!

How absolutely funny, and sweet that Dad tries. Nice work on the costume, mom.
Although the last couple of weeks hasn't found me with the camera in hand much, mine is up

I think hula dancing would be such a fun thing for kids to do---or Mommy! Good job on your labor-of-love costume.
Here's my best shot of the week---along with a post about the 4th stuff I did with my parents and my kids.

OMG, I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since I posted a BSM. I've been crazy-busy, but I miss all of you guys here. Tracey, I love your shot -- so wonderful ;-) Here's Eli, trying on his grandad's glasses for size ;-) Yay -- it's so great to be back!! Happy week to all!

You did a great job on the costume. Love those big fluffy flowers and Dad's expression. :)
