How fun! The monkeys and gorillas are always one of my favorite parts of going to the zoo...great shots!

Here's my best shot for the week:

I love the Gorilla photo. The look on his face is so stern and thought provoking.

I'm really excited about my shots, this week. My hubby gave me some photo taking advice and I think it worked!

Here are my shots:

Isn't the second shot sensational? What amazing eyes they have.

You are so spoiled with the socal weather...all heat, little humidity. We did FL last year while I was pregnant and I thought I would die! I love both shots. I can't even pick a favorite. Very cool. Who doesn't like primates?
Here's my BSM:

I just love the body language in that first shot. What amazing experiences for you, Tracey.

WOW!! Great shots! Wonder what the second one is thinking . . . they seem so soulful (and stinky, at least the ones at Disney were:)

Here's mine for the first time in a while!

I'll bet you were just screaming for someone to clean the window real quick, or just let you in for one shot! He has a very human expression!!
I live in GA, so I feel your pain with the heat!!

Here's my little monkey...

We were at the zoo, too, this week! But I tend to get better shots of the flowers! Great pics, Tracey!

That's one thing our zoo is lacking, the big apes. They are so cool.

That's pretty funny. Last night I was looking at my photos and chose one for BSM and it was taken at a zoo last week too! Here is a tiger shot... http://flickr.com/photos/divrchk/1176819000/in/pool-ttpt/

I also thought this bird was cool... http://flickr.com/photos/divrchk/1175966759/

I love the zoo and "ours" is open with no cages. It's an awesome visit. The gorilla is beautiful and looks so pensive.

I was captivated by a light...

Oh wow, I love both shots! That sounds like a very nice (albeit hot!) zoo. One of the zoos here is rather small and there isn't much roaming room for the poor animals.

Well, my daughter captivated me again...

That first shot is hilarious, Tracey. I love the lean. So funny! Here's my little 'dirty' monkey. Happy Monday, everyone!

What a terrific zoo! We made a trip to the zoo about a month ago and I had all these ideas of capturing these amazing wildlife shots...well, that didn't happen with a one year old in tow and I didn't get a single one! So I'm impressed with your monkey shots - especially that second one!

Mine's up:

I love that last shot...it looks like you're in fog...would've never known it was a window!

Here's mine this week:

The primates have always been my favorite!!! That's why I go to the zoo - just to see the monkeys!! Here's my shot:

NTE

Why, oh why don't zoos clean their windows more? Obviously, people come there to see what's behind them. You still got some great shots, though!

Love the photos! Mine (one more beach shot...the last one, I promise!) is up at http://barelycontrolledchaos.wordpress.com/2007/08/20/sandy-bottom-bsm/

I spent several hours one day back in college observing and recording the actions of gorillas and other primates. It was really interesting. It was for a class about Human Evolution, believe it or not!

My post is up this morning!
