Sounds like you guys had a good session. From a completely novice perspective, I like seeing how you get from point A to B because it helps me with my own basic photo taking endeavors. Have a good day.

Shannon

Thanks for sharing!

It sounds like that was a very interesting conversation. I wish we had video of that.
There was some talk of how your business of being a photographer was impacted (or not) by your blogs. I really didn't think of it like that. I appreciate how you share your thoughts and ideas with us and allow us to share ours. It was interesting that you brought up that your blog motivates you to take more pictures and share them. I feel like one of the cons (if there are any) of being a professional anything (photographer, chef, etc.) is that you feel pressure to make it a "professional" effort every time. And by professional I mean the posed, perfectly framed, perfectly set gallery quality shot. While some pictures turn out like that and are certainly worthy of being enjoyed by others, its nice that we can share more personal, less professional shots here. I think it allows us a more intimate view of your everyday life and therefore helps us see beyond the surface of your more professional shots and hopefully vice-versa. For instance, I love seeing Melody's pictures (from Slurping Life) because I have seen her story through her everyday pictures and blogs. Her shots look very professional at times, but because of the everyday insight her pictures take on a whole new depth.
All this to say, I think your blog adds a very personal and fun touch to your already fantastic photographic skills. For those who love taking pictures, I believe that's one of the big goals. There are probably very few of us who enjoy taking pictures simply for the art of it. The beauty of our pictures comes from the personal aspect and story behind each one and I think you help us realize that and inspire us to grow from that simple concept!
Thanks!

This was my favorite session... digging into the creative thought process. Loved spending time with you at BlogHer and looking forward to hearing/seeing more of you here.

Melissa

I so went to the wrong session at BlogHer; this one sounded awesome!
