Us Southern Californians don't get much weather. No extreme cold or hot (we're close enough to the coast to temper the heat). No rain and certainly no snow (thank goodness). We rarely even get real clouds. That's something I do wish we had more of. We get lots of marine layer which is fine but clouds, glorious puffy clouds...that's my favorite kind of sky...big, billowy clouds.
We've had some days lately that offered some great photo ops and so I've been having a ball playing with the photos I've been taking, exploring PS Elements and all the cool stuff it has to offer. Oh, what fun! I'm into the texture stuff right now. Here's a shot and a texture that I love.
It's also my way of honoring the lone palm that still stands triumphant and proud in our yard in the aftermath of what our neighbors did recently. I guess I'm still not over it.
What does your Best Shot capture?

i played around with my bsm, too. didn't get texture, but definitely a color pop...

Beautiful photo Tracey! Sadly I haven't even noticed the weather in about 2 weeks (kids being sick and various other mommy time stealers)!
But I did manage to drag my camera out for this:

I wish I had the photoshop skills that you do - or the time to practice them. I love the texture in the picture.
Here's my contribution this week.

Very cool shot with the colors and textures. Here is mine from the pumpkin festival on Saturday. http://flickr.com/photos/divrchk/1572082425/in/pool-ttpt/ I had trouble deciding but liked this one the best.

This weekend, we've been getting your mild SoCa weather here in Texas! Here it's a nice break from triple digit temps. :o) It's storming today, tho. Love the colors and textures in your tribue to the lone palm.

I'm back! I missed you all while I was away! I'll be catching up with all of you later, but here is my BSM honoring fall in Maine.
Pretty different from fall in SoCal, Tracey! Love the color on that shot.

Gorgeous photo! I've been trying to catch all the wonderful fall colors over here... but my BSM this week is of the dog, in a pile of leaves, begging for attention.
