Us Southern Californians don't get much weather. No extreme cold or hot (we're close enough to the coast to temper the heat). No rain and certainly no snow (thank goodness). We rarely even get real clouds. That's something I do wish we had more of. We get lots of marine layer which is fine but clouds, glorious puffy clouds...that's my favorite kind of sky...big, billowy clouds.
We've had some days lately that offered some great photo ops and so I've been having a ball playing with the photos I've been taking, exploring PS Elements and all the cool stuff it has to offer. Oh, what fun! I'm into the texture stuff right now. Here's a shot and a texture that I love.
It's also my way of honoring the lone palm that still stands triumphant and proud in our yard in the aftermath of what our neighbors did recently. I guess I'm still not over it.
What does your Best Shot capture?

That texture really looks neat, Tracey. I never think to do that, I'll have to try it out. We finally made it to the pumpkin patch, so here's one of many....

Love the angle, Tracey. And the blue. I've been fascinated with the sky lately too. :)

I am so annoyed that I left my memory card at home. I guess I'll have to do this one tomorrow.
I love your the way you played with the texture in this one.

i've been playing a lot with nighttime phototaking (i love the graininess you get when you then "lighten" them) and also with basic focus (thanks to your HP tutorials!)
here's some focus play:

Oh, man. I gotta find my box of Photoshop Elements. I bought it in July and lost the box before I ever installed it! Very cool photo, Tracey! Here's my post for the week. The focus isn't really on photos, to be honest.

Wow... the list of pictures to look at is long today! (or maybe I'm just later than usual, haha)
